Oliva Beach

A great day at the beach – miles and miles of beautiful sand. But saw something very strange – little brown furry balls all over the sand. Looked a bit odd and was a bit apprehensive. Turns out they are “Posidonia Oceanica “. oooh ! Commonly known as “Neptune’s Balls” Seagrass formed in large underwater meadows, and the balls are the fruit which floats onto the beach. Wouldn’t want to risk taking them home though, who knows what might hatch out of them !
